Our most recent The Fair Trade Hub was held in Belmont Central, Newcastle. A collaboration between Carina from SANAA AFRIKA, Yvie from Aware…..the social design project and Nicole Croker from The Moose Hub. It was also the second time for Stephanie from the start-up Trellis and Vine, to participate.
Every Hub is different which adds to its appeal. It is a Pop-Up, not a permanent shop. It tailors itself to the circumstances of the traders, with solid quality processes so it delivers what it promises to customers. This is a shop that offers a work/life balance, the opportunity to launch a product, and practical knowledge about fair trade entrepreneurship.
It provides plenty of opportunity to learn more about fair trade for participants and the consumer. Customers receive a retail buying experience unlike anywhere elsewhere in mainstream retail. Advocacy, depth of knowledge and conversations that link cultures and people.
