The Storytelling family event is held annually at the Long Jetty foreshore since 2016. It brings people from the community together to share stories and activities, reflect and enjoy the beautiful lake foreshore. It is part of the 10-day The Lakes Festival with events all along the Tuggerah Lakes shoreline.
Professional story tellers and people from the community share and create stories to remember. With Story ‘pods’, an ethical trade hub and self-guided activities, this family event is for everyone, connecting across age, ethnicity, belief and circumstance.
Funded in part by The Central Coast Council, in 2018 we welcomed back Lindy Mitchell-Nilsson (formerly known as The Lady of the Forest) and Ulf Nilsson, bi-lingual storyteller and celebrant from Sweden, who together are Heart to Heart Storytelling, and Judith Hudson-Calvert from Musicrazy.
In 2018 this event ran concurrently with a Mandala community creation event run by Kylie Cook of CreativeK, Yoga on the Lake and Orange Sky.
